The Foundation's Board of Trustees mainly comprises private institutions, although it also includes a number of organisations governed by public law. In addition to the trustees, there are more than fifty entities that collaborate in the Foundation's activity and research programmes.
The trustees are the lifeblood of the Atapuerca Foundation, since, without their valuable and close involvement, it would not be possible to carry out our work. They all share an affinity with the project and in the future their contribution will become increasingly important, not only in terms of support but also as generators of ideas that will strengthen its strategic thinking and the pursuit of new projects.
Moreover, the Foundation boasts a team of professionals who are committed to the development and success of the Foundation's aims. This internal structure is based around several key areas, ranging from research management and support to the scientific dissemination of the Atapuerca project.
